Gower Yomp 2013

Yet again we were pretty lucky with the weather for our annual Yomp. No rain but plenty of wind!
It was rather disappointing that many people who had pledged to come along dropped out for a wide variety of reasons but those 40 walkers who came along had a great time.
We are very grateful to people for their donations via Just Giving and others who collected from friends, family and work colleagues.
As usual all money raised will be sent to Zambia and used to complete the new school in Chiziro which now has about 300 pupils on its register.

Barn Dance and Supper

Saturday 7th July is our next fundraising event which will be held at Sharon and Gareth's house.It is a Barn Dance and Supper with live music from Dragon's Breath a local band who have agreed to provide their services free of charge for which we thank them. I am sure it will be a great event and the more the merrier so do come along.Photos will follow on here!

Quiz and Supper

Many thanks to Tina and Fiona for organising a great quiz night and supper on June 1st.Maggie provided us with lovely food and Tina made our brains ache.It was lovely to see so many people supporting us in our final push towards the completion of the Ethembeni School in Chiziro.

Feeding Jar Project

We are pleased to announce that St Iltyd's High School in Cardiff is the latest school to join the Feeding Jar Project.We are very grateful to the school for getting involved and hope that many pupils will collect their loose change to help feed the children in the Ethembeni School in Chiziro,Zambia.

Carols by Candlelight 2011

What a great time we had again this year.The Radyr High School chamber choir was wonderful and Kate Morgan on piano made the evening go with a swing. We raised plenty of money due to very generous donations from over 100 guests.Everyone went away in festive mood and we were thrilled to be able to send the money to Zambia to help with the costs of building the new school in Chiziro.
The next fundraising event is on Saturday 14th January at Lisvane Memorial Hall. It is a four course Gourmet Supper with light entertainment by members of the WNO. Details are on our website.

Maggie's trip to Chiziro
