Back from Zambia

Wow! We are back from an amazing trip to Lusaka and Chiziro. It was great to see the new school we have built and it was a privilege to be present at the opening ceremony. The heat was incredible and so were the smiling faces of the children and the teachers. The builders have done an amazing job and it was wonderful to see the cooks preparing food for the children over their open fire.
We also made two visits to The Good Samaritan School in Lusaka but were disappointed to find out that the American Charity who had been providing food for the children had pulled out due to the recession. This now means that fewer pupils attend the school as parents/carers keep them home from school to work to earn money for food.
We are determined to reinstate the feeding programme at the school and have set up a Feeding Support account to pay for the maize which is used to make Nshima for the children. We also gave money to Rev Alick Malama to grow crops which can be used to feed the children in the future.
We desperately need people to donate a few pounds a month via a standing order so that we can ensure that the programme is successful. Please help us if you can!
